NIHC is a HUD approved Community Housing Development Organization; a local non-profit dedicated to increasing access to decent and affordable homes for low to moderate income individuals and families in the community by increasing the number of homes available, as well as assisting qualified buyers to purchase a home.
Purpose Statement
Vision: Low to moderate income families and individuals in our community are respected as being integral to its overall character and economic well-being. There is a wide variety of decent and affordable homes available to them throughout the community.
Mission: To build strong communities by increasing access to decent and affordable homes for low to moderate income individuals and/or families.

- Service: We are committed to serving our community and encourage everyone who benefits from our programs to serve others in the community through our Deeds of Distinction program.

- Establish and manage NIHC as an effective, efficient and responsive Community Housing Development Organization.
- Increase decent and safe housing for very low to moderate income families and individuals.
- Plan and implement an effective process to provide information and receive input from low-income beneficiaries / communities regarding siting, development, and management of affordable housing.
